One injured during residential fire in Lupton City
LUPTON CITY, Tenn. (WDEF) — A residential fire sent one to the hospital with burn injuries near Lupton City.
Chattanooga Fire Department (CFD) received a call at 1:39 p.m., dispatching them to the 3500 block of Northrop Street.
Thankfully, the residence was near Fire Station 16, leading to a fast response.
When firefighters arrived, they discovered heavy smoke coming from the back of the residence.
Firefighters attacked quickly, and were able to preserve most of the structure.
However, the back porch sustained damages.
One individual was transported to a local hospital with burn injuries to her feet and hands.
CFD is investigating the cause of the fire.
