One person shot in Alton Park during drive-by

CHATTANOOGA, Tennessee(WDEF) – One person is recovering after he was injured during a drive-by shooting in Alton Park.

It happened early Thursday evening inside a parking lot on the corner of West 38th Street and Central Avenue.

According to Lt. Jerri Sutton, two suspects drove up and began shooting into parking lot.  23-year old Thomas McCauley was shot in the ankle as he was leaving the parking lot.

“The suspect information that we have is two males wearing ski mask were driving a sedan. We don’t have a clear make of the vehicle or the color,” Sutton said.

According to Chattanooga police, the victim’s injures are non-life threatening.
