One rescued from Raccoon Mountain

HCEMS and Chattanooga Fire Department crews responded to a reported high-fall incident on a hiking trail atop Raccoon Mountain on June 17, 2026.
They say due to the remote location, responders hiked into the area to reach the patient, provide medical care, and coordinate a safe rescue.
Crews were able to bring the patient off the mountain and transport them to a local medical facility for further evaluation and treatment.
