Ooltewah road temporarily closed after fatal wreck

OOLTEWAH, Tenn. (WDEF) — A fatal wreck happened in Ooltewah on Friday, and now a road is temporarily closed.

Chattanooga Police said the wreck happened in the 6400 block of Mountain View Road. This part of the road is north of Ooltewah High School.

One person died as a result of the accident, according to police.

Law enforcement is investigating currently. They ask the public to avoid the area until at least 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

The road closure is between Production Lane and Amos Road, according to Tri-Community VFD.

Drivers may use Ooltewah-Georgetown Road as a north-south alternate, according to police.
