Parkridge and Erlanger completing expansions on east side of town

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Two local hospital companies are showing off expansions in the our  area.

Parkridge East Hospital (East Ridge) has complete their expansion project of its women’s services unit.

The Birth Place at Parkridge East Hospital offers 23 postpartum beds, nine labor and delivery rooms and 22 Level III neonatal intensive care beds.

“The Birth Place at Parkridge East Hospital strives to provide women with a unique and empowering birth experience backed by the supportive care of our expert OBGYN physicians and nursing team,” said Will Windham, CEO of Parkridge East Hospital. “More than 2,000 babies are born at Parkridge East Hospital every year. This expansion allows us to continue providing unparalleled birthing care to the Chattanooga and north Georgia region in a modern and compassionate environment.”

They offer full delivery services, including a 24 hour nursery, lactation specialists, prenatal education, a Women’s Nurse Navigator for your delivery plan and a NICU that can care bor babies born at 24 weeks.

Erlanger is also cutting the ribbon Tuesday for their new Erlanger East Imaging on Gunbarrel Road.
