Patricia Marsh Charged with Doctor Shopping For a 3rd Time

Nashvillle (WDEF) – TennCare officials report the third set of fraud charges against a Bradley County woman.

Last month, Patricia Marsh was charged with five counts of doctor shopping in Bradley County.

The next day, Hamilton County added four more counts after she made bond on the other charges.

This time, she faces a Knox County indictment.

In all three cases, prosecutors allege she used TennCare funds to procure prescriptions for controlled substances.

"Doctor shopping in order to obtain prescription medication for illegal use or distribution of that medication is a bad idea, especially when TennCare pays for it,” Inspector General Manny Tyndall said. “Negative conduct of this nature will ultimately result in negative consequences.”
