Paw and a Prayer

Furry friends in need of a home this holiday season were at PetSmart Saturday afternoon.

A non-profit organization known as "A Paw and A Prayer" brought several puppies and small dogs to the PetSmart on Gunbarrel Road to help them find a more permanent home. Many volunteers with the organization help foster these animals. However representatives with A Paw and A Prayer say her dogs don’t stick around for very long. She says she feels blessed to be able to make a difference. Judy Butterfield, A Paw and A Prayer Founder said, "I feel very blessed because I do have a good turnaround. I have a wonderful facebook group, almost 7-thousand likes on my facebook page in the last year and a half, and I dont think things like that happen accidentally."

Butterfield says they had twelve adoptions Saturday. Representatives and volunteers will be at PetSmart again Sunday during the day.
