Pedestrian dies from injuries after being hit by car last week on MLK Blvd

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – The pedestrian who was hit crossing MLK Boulevard last Thursday morning has died.

The 57 year old man was crossing near the Read House around 8:15 AM when he was hit by a Jaguar heading East.

Police investigators say the driver never saw the man.

They say the pedestrian was crossing against the walk signal and did not have the right of way.

The investigation into the case is continuing.
