UPDATED: Child Shot Multiple Times On Oakwood Drive in Chattanooga

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – A child is recovering this morning after being shot multiple times.

Police responded to the scene of the shooting in the 4200 block of Oakwood Drive in Chattanooga at around 12:20 Monday morning.

The teenager described the suspect as being in a white truck or SUV.

He was taken to a local hospital for gunshot wounds to his hand and kneecap.

This is the fifth shooting in 48 hours in Hamilton County.

According to scanner traffic, the person was shot in the kneecap and hand near Webb Road, and was taken to the hospital around 12:30 a.m.
