Pet of the Week: Dougie!

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Tune in to Prime News at 7 to meet this week’s Pet of the Week: Dougie!

Dougie is a 10-month-old mixed breed pup looking for a family to call his own.

He’s a little shy when you first meet him, but this timid guy turns into a snuggly lap dog once he feels safe and trusts you!

Dougie is so soft and sweet. He still acts very puppy-ish for his 10-months of age. He may not have come from the best of circumstances, so his “childhood” wasn’t what it should have been, but we’re here to change that!

Now in a safe place to let loose and be himself, Dougie is discovering the best parts of puppyhood and is stealing the hearts of HES staff and volunteers along the way.

He is fantastic with other dogs and loves to play. He enjoys cuddles and is food motivated, so training should hopefully come with ease.
