Pet of the Week: Gorda

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Join us at Prime News at 7 for this week’s Pet of the Week: Gorda!

Gorda is a 4-year-old pit bull mix with a heart as big as her 86-pound body!

She came to Humane Educational Society at the end of September after a call about a dog hit by a car — but when Animal Control arrived, they found something even more touching.

Gorda was lying in the middle of the roadway, blocking traffic and refusing to move, while her devoted mate, Flaco, stood guard by her side.

A true testament of loyalty and love. (After examination by our vet team, it appears she was not injured – just stubborn!)

Now safe, Gorda has shown her soft and loving nature.

She’s a total cuddle bug who adores affection, naps, and belly rubs.

With her soulful eyes and gentle spirit, she’s equal parts meatloaf and marshmallow.

Gorda is ready to find a home where her loyalty will be returned tenfold — a cozy couch, loving family, and all the cuddles she deserves.
