Pet passes away during Colemere Drive house fire
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Around 8 a.m. on March 12, firefighters responded to a house fire on the 7700 block of Colemere Drive, where one of the families pets passed away as a result of the fire.
Crews found flames coming from the front of the home and they made entry to attack the fire and conduct a search, the Chattanooga Fire Department (CFD) says.
The fire was prevented from spreading.
Firefighters found that one of the family’s pets had perished and several other dogs survived, CFD says.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
