Pfizer Covid vaccines available Monday in Murray & Whitfield counties

DALTON, Georgia (WDEF) – The health departments in the North Georgia Health District will have the Pfizer pediatric vaccine for Covid beginning on Monday.

That’s in Cherokee, Fannin, Gilmer, Murray, Pickens and Whitfield counties.

These shots are for children between 5 and 11 years old.

CDC Director Rochelle P. Walensky, M.D., M.P.H., said, “We know millions of parents are eager to get their children vaccinated and with this decision, we now have recommended that about 28 million children receive a COVID-19 vaccine.”

No appointments are needed at the Health Departments and the vaccines are free.
