Police arrest 15-year-old from CARTA bus incident
CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police have now arrested the suspect who inadvertently led to the CARTA bus SWAT team incident on Monday.
They charged a 15-year-old male on Tuesday with unlawful possession of a firearm and aggravated domestic assault.
He was wanted for a shooting on Arlington Avenue earlier on Monday.
A woman said a family member had demanded cash and then fired a shot at her.
Police were tipped that someone matching his description was on the bus.
So, they stopped it on Brainerd Road, shut down businesses and the road, while they searched the bus.
It turned out the suspect was not, in fact, on the bus.
