Police charge 2 Walker Deputies with attempted rape

UPDATE: Walker County Sheriff Steve Wilson says after two of his deputies were arrested this afternoon, they were suspended WITHOUT pay.  He will wait for the internal investigation to be completed before deciding on their employment status.

FORT OGLETHORPE, Ga. (WDEF) — Police in Fort Oglethorpe have now arrested two deputies with the Walker County Sheriff’s Department.

We told you how Brandon England and Shawn Norris were put on leave following the incident on Sunday.

A woman who was in a relationship with one of the deputies says they tried to force her to have sex with them at her apartment in Fort Oglethorpe.

The GBI was called in to handle the investigation.

Based on their information, the deputies were charged with aggravated assault, criminal attempt to rape, and false imprisonment.

They were booked in the Catoosa County jail.
