Police find no indication of “gang initiation activity” in kidnapping complaint

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police have been investigating a report of a man who says he was kidnapped over the weekend, but haven’t found much to verify it.

They say a man did file a report Monday evening, but has since declined to talk to police about it since then.

The case remains open and police are looking for any other possible witnesses.

But they say at this point, there is no indication of any “gang initiation activity” that led to the alleged kidnapping off the street.
