Police identify chief suspect in Tuesday night fatal shooting

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Chattanooga police issue warrants for suspect in Tuesday’s fatal shooting.

They will charge 24 year old Tavoraus Thompson with murder.

He is still at large.

Thompson was last arrested in January on a Domestic Assault charge.

Police have charged his brother, Judius Antonio Thompson with Criminal Responsibility for Facilitation of Felony.

Investigators say he was in the fist fight with Orlandas Gay, which escalated into Gay being shot.

The fight and shooting happened Tuesday evening around 5:30 in the 4900 block Jeffery Lane.
