Police investigate body found in East Chattanooga

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police are investigating a murder in East Chattanooga on Tuesday night.

Norfolk Southern Police first reported an abandoned vehicle at 2700 Lightfoot Mill Road around 9:30 PM.

CPD officers found a body inside the car.

The victim had been shot.

Police say the victim is a validated gang member, but is not releasing the name yet.
