Police investigate mystery wreck that kills a driver with a gun in East Ridge

EAST RIDGE, Tenn. (WDEF) – East Ridge police are still investigating just what happened at a home on Bluebird Circle last night.

Around 8:30 PM, officers were called to a traffic crash in the 400 block.

They found a pickup truck, still running, that had hit a sedan.

Officers believe the crash happened at the top of the driveway.

They believe the crash was deliberate.

The body of the pickup driver was found nearby with a wound to the head.

A handgun was found near the body.

So far, investigators do not suspect foul play, but their investigation is ongoing.
