Student Arrested For Hit-and-Run of Cleveland High Student

CLEVELAND, Tenn (WDEF) – Cleveland Police have arrested another student they believe hit a student this morning at Cleveland Middle.

According to police, Cruz Salas Perez, 18, a student of Cleveland High School, was driving a red, 2006 Honda Civic when he hit another student north on Candies Lane at Georgetown Road around 7:30 AM.

The red civic then turned left on Georgetown Road and fled, according to police.

Police say the boy was treated and released at a local hospital.

Perez has been charged with failure to render aid, driving without a license, and no insurance.
