Police searching for shooting suspect in DeKalb County


Police are searching for two suspects in a white Chevrolet Impala, according to DeKalb County Daily News.

It happened on County Road 68, near the Northeast Alabama Community College.

Officers are telling residents to stay in their homes at this time.

DEKALB COUNTY, Ala. (WDEF) — There has been a drive-by shooting in DeKalb County. Police are searching for the suspect.

This is according to the DeKalb County Daily News.

In a Facebook post, they stated, “Powell Police and Dekalb Sherriff Office working a drive by shooting on College Rd in Powell area near Northeast Community College. One person reported shot in the chest. We are working to get more information, but suspects are at large. Avoid the area and lock your doors.”

They also said the victim was taken by ambulance to a trauma center.

DeKalb County Daily News shared video of officers “going door to door near County Rd 100,” while looking for the shooting suspect.
