Polk County Commissioners pass gun sanctuary resolution

POLK COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) – Polk County Commissioners voted to pass a gun sanctuary resolution Thursday night.

Commission Chair Greg Brooks said the resolution passed 8 to 1.

This means that if the state or federal government put restrictions on firearms, then the county would not have to adhere to those laws.

Polk County will become the first gun sanctuary county in Tennessee.
