Predators Coach Remains Confident Despite Poor Showing in Game Five

Nashville, TN (WDEF) – Even though the Predators looked horrible Thursday night against Pittsburgh in game five of the Stanley Cup Final, head coach Peter Laviolette doesn’t believe that performance will shake his team’s confidence ahead of game six on Sunday in Nashville.

Said Laviolette: “The thing about the playoffs. If we win games three and four then for sure we are going to win game five right? And it just doesn’t work that way in the playoffs. Every game is its own chapter. Its own slice of the pie. You’ve got to go out and fight for that slice every day. What happened in game five is gone. We know what we need to do in game six. we know how we are capable of playing especially in our building here. We have to get ourselves a big win.”

Nashville must win on Sunday night to force a decisive game seven.

The Predators are 9-1 at home in the playoffs.
