Preparing your pet for the 4th of July

The 4th of July comes with loud noises. Now is the time to prepare your pet for the big day.

The McKamey Animal Center is sharing some tips to help:

*Be sure your pet has proper identification

*If necessary, update your pet’s microchip and license (https://mckameyanimalcenter.org/city-licenses/)

*Call your vet for any refills of prescription medicines, or stock up on calming treats if they work well for your pet.

*Be sure your dog has a safe, quiet place to go, such as a crate or quiet room

*Double-check fences, doors, or gates where your dog may escape
