Prescribed Burn to Occur at Heritage Park

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — A prescribed burn will take place at Heritage Park on Friday, December 12.

The burn comes as The City of Chattanooga Parks and Outdoors’s Natural Resources team partners with the Southeastern Grasslands Institute.

They warn locals may see smoke, but the burn expected to be brief and dissipate quickly.

The burn will target a half-acre wetland meadow.

It will take place from approximately 12:00 p.m. t0 4 p.m.
