Property tax bill lower in Chattanooga but still rising nationally
CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Property tax bills continue to climb across the country, but Chattanooga ranks pretty well.
An analysis from Construction Coverage broke down how much we pay in property taxes across the country.
In Chattanooga, the median property tax bill is $2,325 a year.
Sounds bad, but Chattanooga ranked 410th out of 650 cities they analyzed.
We rank 144th by population.
Across the country, home prices and inflation are slowing down but property tax bills are still climbing.
