Rabbit Valley Farmer’s Market has successful opening day

RINGGOLD, Ga. (WDEF)- It’s officially market season and the Rabbit Valley Market got a great start to things today in Ringgold.

Patrons came out in the rain to check out local vendors at the new Saturday market on Depot Street.

The market is managed by a local farm owner who says that they plan on having many events at the market all throughout the summer.

Samantha Martin, the Rabbit Valley Market Manager says, “We are going to be here every Saturday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. all the way through October 30th. It’s a 28 week market so, we’re here. We got some special extra markets like July 3rd, June 5th, we have a sidewalk chalk festival. We’ll have a fiber festival this fall. So, we’re here permanently. This is our first season and we expect to be back next season.”

There are food trucks and children activities at the market as well.
