Remains of Jasper POW Returns to Tennessee Today

Nashville, TN (WDEF) The remains of PFC Lotchie John Ray Jones return to Tennessee today.
The Jasper native went to the Korean War 65 years ago and never returned, until now.
He was captured and died in a prisoner of war camp.
But his remains were incorrectly identified and buried in Hawaii.
Only last year, a forensic team discovered the identity of the remains as the 17 year old soldier from Marion County.
The Tennessee Department of Veterans Affairs is bringing him home for burial in Chattanooga on Friday at the National Cemetery.
He still has a brother and sister living in Marion County.
