Remote Area Medical free health clinic back at Camp Jordan this weekend

EAST RIDGE, Tenn (WDEF) – The Remote Area Medical or RAM clinic is back in the Tennessee Valley this weekend. 

The RAM clinic is a nonprofit provider of pop-up clinics delivering free, quality dental, vision, and medical care to underserved and uninsured individuals. 

All services are free, and no ID is required.

 Services available at the clinic will include dental cleanings, dental extractions, eye exams, eyeglass prescriptions, mental health services, cancer screening services, COVID-19 vaccinations, lung screenings, and general medical exams. 

“It’s free medical, dental and vision services for patients who can’t afford medical care, may not be able to afford prescriptions, or may not have access to health care. We know that in the East Ridge area as well as most of the country that right now people are struggling especially with covid and some of the economic downturn that’s occurred,” says Clinic Coordinator Dave Maurer.

The clinic is open from 6 am – 6 pm on Saturday and 6 am to noon on Sunday at Camp Jordan Arena.

Dental, vision and medical services will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
