Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene gets support back home, but also death threats
ROME, Georgia (WDEF) – Congresswoman Greene has gotten mixed reviews of her split with President Trump over the weekend.
Republican leaders back in her home district posted a notice saying they completely back her.
“Recent national criticism directed at Congresswoman Greene does not change the fundamental truth that she serves at the direction of the people of this district.”
The party says she has faithfully represented the values of her constituents.
And while the President represents the nation as a whole, Congresswoman Greene represents the people of Northwest Georgia.
But not everyone agrees.
The Congresswoman said she has faced death threats since the President called her a traitor.
And on Monday, Police in Rome confirmed they are investigating two email threats made against her.

Congresswoman Greene has consistently demonstrated steadfast commitment to the citizens of Northwest Georgia. She has served with honor, conviction, and uncompromising dedication to the principles that define both our district and our nation.
As a woman of faith and a devoted mother, Congresswoman Greene has been a tireless advocate for the sanctity of life, the right to free speech, and the protections guaranteed under the Second Amendment.
