Republican Gubernatorial Candidate John Rose Stops in Chattanooga

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Republican gubernatorial candidate John Rose made a stop in Chattanooga Friday, outlining his priorities for Tennessee if elected governor.

Rose spoke to members of the Chattanooga Civitan Club during a lunchtime meeting at the Chattanooga Masonic Center. The visit is part of his statewide campaign effort to meet voters face-to-face and hear directly from local communities.

During his remarks, Rose emphasized the importance of preserving Tennessee’s quality of life while planning for the state’s future.

“I’m running for governor of Tennessee because I’m very worried as an eighth-generation Tennessean,” Rose said. “I want to make sure that we maintain this wonderful environment that we have in Tennessee — where we embrace people from all over the world who come here, but also enjoy this great way of life that we have.”

Rose says conversations with civic groups like the Chattanooga Civitan Club help shape his priorities as he continues traveling across the state ahead of the 2026 gubernatorial election.Rep. John Rose
