Reserve deputy charged in fatal Tulsa shooting

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) – The family of a Tulsa, Oklahoma, man fatally shot by a reserve sheriff’s deputy says the arresting officers treated Eric Harris "as if he was less than human."

Officials say the volunteer deputy, 73-year-old insurance executive Robert Bates, mistakenly pulled out a handgun instead of a stun gun.

He’s been charged with manslaughter.

The shooting was captured on video.
