Restaurant owner and friend killed in car crash

CLEVELAND, Tenn. (WDEF)- Cleveland Police are investigating a early Sunday morning fatal crash.

The accident happened in the 600 Block of North Ocoee Street in Cleveland.

Cleveland Police say that a Ford F-150 left the roadway and struck a large tree.

Police say that first responders attempted to extricate the two occupants but, realized they both died.

49-year-old David Jenkins and 49-year-old Christopher Jacobi were the victims of the accident.

David Jenkins was a part of the Jenkins Deli family.

The restaurant posted on social media that they are in shock and hurting.

They are asking for prayers and privacy at this time.

The Cleveland Police Department is still investigating the crash.
