Reward raised in an effort to find who killed two animals on Olive Street.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn (WDEF) – The reward has been raised once again in an effort to find the person responsible for killing two animals  last week. 

The reward has jumped from $1,500 to $5,000 thanks to the Humane Society of the United States. 

Residents of Olive Street and North Hawthorne Street are being advised to bring all their animals inside after two animals were brutally killed  within just a few days of each other. 

Last week a dog was found strangled to death and on Sunday McKamey received another call of a cat found shot to death. 

“There are people that care and now they have to have the knowledge that someone could do this to sweet girl is walking their streets. If you know something. Reach out to the proper authorities and let them know. This person needs to be brought to justice and they also need help,” says Laura Bevan ,Southern  Regional Direct of Humane Society of the U.S.
