Rick Barnes Hopes to Revive Tennessee-Memphis Basketball Series

Vols basketball coach Rick Barnes joined the Big Orange Caravan stop on Wednesday in Memphis.
Tennessee hasn’t played Memphis on the hardwood since 2013.
Barnes says he hopes to revive the rivalry, especially since the Tigers have named Tubby Smith as their new head coach.
Said Barnes,”I know that he like I, we want to do everything we can to promote basketball in the state of Tennessee. I do know this.
If it’s something we can work out, I do believe we will work hard trying to work it out because we both understand what it can mean not just to each program, but to the state.”
