Ringgold House Fire Claims One, Injures Two

RINGGOLD, GA (WDEF) – A devastating house fire in Ringgold, Georgia, has left one person dead and two others injured. 

This morning, a fire tore through a home in Ringgold, Georgia, claiming the life of one person and leaving two others injured. 

The homeowner, who was found outside with visible injuries to his hands, told firefighters that his wife was still inside. Her brother, who was also outside, suffered severe burns.  

Firefighters immediately entered the building in an attempt to rescue the woman, but they later found her in a bedroom, where she had tragically succumbed to her injuries. 

The identities of the victims have not been released as officials work to notify family members. 

The husband was reported to go against medical advice to receive treatment for the burns on his hands. 

The Red Cross was called to the scene to help the homeowner with any immediate needs. The condition of the victim’s brother is still currently unknown. 

Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire which was believed to have started at the front of the residence. 

The Catoosa community is grieving after this heartbreaking loss.
