CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)- It is market season once again in Chattanooga.

It kicked off today with the Chattanooga River Market.

The market sits on the plaza in front of the Tennessee Aquarium.

Over 40 vendors selling a variety of goods came together to take part on opening day.

The River Market is ran by the Chattanooga Market, who is looking forward to a big year.

Jake Bass, the manager for the Chattanooga River Market, said, “We supply the area of Chattanooga with handmade goods and items from all over the Chattanooga area. It’s a great thing to do on the weekend to get people to come out and visit, to see the Aquarium along with the Chattanooga Market itself.”

The River Market will be open every Saturday from now through October from 10 to 5.

It will also be open on Sundays through the end of April until the Sunday market at the First Tennessee Pavilion opens on April 28th.

Anyone interested in being a vendor at the River Market can apply at the Chattanooga Market’s website.
