Riverbend Cool Zone will shower mists onto hot festival goers

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Riverbend is about to get a lot cooler with the help of Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union.

This year, TVFCU is going to introduce their brand new cool zone.

There will be a inflatable tunnel leading down to the stage area.

It’s filled with a cool mist.

There’ll also be six giant air conditioners to help everyone beat the heat.

The cool zone will be taking the place of the sand sculptures that have been in front of their booth in the past.

Sarah Sherfey with TVFCU tells us “We wanted to keep things fresh and we’ve been doing the sand sculpture for over ten years now, so we obviously love it.”

“It’s been a great hit, but we really wanted to just excite everyone. Of course the number one thing with Riverbend is always being hot , so what can we do better than to give back to the community and create this cool zone atmosphere.”

The first night of Riverbend is Friday, June 8th.

We’re looking forward to seeing you there at our News 12 booth.
