HAMILTON COUNTY, Tennessee (WDEF) – The news is worse than first expected on Roberts Mill Road.

The road which goes up Walden’s Ridge near Soddy Daisy is one of the few routes for mountain residents.

It was closed on Wednesday because of a mudslide overnight from the rain.

But now the Hamilton County Highway Department says the road will remain close, indefinitely.

They are contacting a geo tech stabilization company to help them figure out a solution.

Residents say the road has been destabilized by heavy trucks that use it for construction on top of the mountain.
