Robotics competition held at Chattanooga State STEM Center

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – The Tennessee Valley Robotics and Chattanooga State Community College welcomed new competitors to a tournament for the Vex Five robotics competitions.

This was a tournament designed for new teams who were able to benefit from a “low stress” introduction to the competition environment as all team, coaches, and/or organizations were required to be new to the Vex Competitions to ensure for even matches.

This event was able to give teams a push to get started and be more aware of what a competition looks and feels like as they make their way to higher levels.

As robotics includes not only the building of the robots but also the task of coding, the competition included new challenges for the young competitors.

As the weekend’s events came to an end and awards were given out, the participants were able to not only gain experience on how a future competition would be like, but also learn of any improvements that can be made to their robots.
