Rock City and Tennessee Titans unveil refurbished barn

JASPER, Tenn (WDEF) – The Tennessee Titans and See Rock City teamed up to unveil the restoration of three “See Rock City” barns in East Tennessee.

The barns, which feature Titans and See Rock City branding, celebrate both a historic Tennessee tradition and the start of the Titans’ 2021 season.

The barns were painted by visual artist doughjoe and took roughly a month to complete.

The Tennessee Titans cheerleaders and mascot T-Rac put the ceremonial finishing touches on the barn.

“We started painting these barns in 1936. It’s really a way to bring art, history, and all that makes the south and Tennessee so special,” says Susan Harris, CEO of Rock City.

“One of the greatest parts of This project has been connecting with the people who remind me about the resilience of Tennesseeans and being Tennessee tough,” says Doughjoe, Artist.

The three barn locations are:

  • 1189 Shellmound Road, Jasper, TN
  • 510 Piercy Road, Jasper, TN
  • 6087 HWY 411, Madisonville, TN

The Titans kick off their season on Sunday, Sept. 12, in front of a home crowd at Nissan Stadium. The team will face off against the Arizona Cardinals, with kickoff scheduled for noon CT on CBS.
