Rubio St. Fire victim dies, investigators say it was arson
CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – The victim of the fire in East Chattanooga this week has died.
44 year old Kimberly Wells was critically injured when her home caught on fire at 1725 Rubio Street.
She was transferred to the Burn Center in Augusta, Georgia on Wednesday.
Officials say she died there on Thursday afternoon.
Fire investigators now say the fire was intentionally set.
So the Chattanooga Police Department’s Violent Crimes Bureau will now get involved.
Officials are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of suspects in the case.
