Sales Church Church Steeple Hit By Lightning And Set On Fire

Sale Creek, TN (WDEF) Lightning is to blame for a church steeple catching fire.
       
Several witnesses say they saw lightning hit the Lakedrive Baptist Church Tuesday evening around 5 o’clock.

Firefighters arrived to find heavy smoke and fire coming from the steeple.
       
They worked quickly to keep the blaze contained to the steeple.
       
Damage is estimated at $30,000 to $40,000.
