Salvation Army feeds homebound senior citizens

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – While many of us are at home enjoying a meal with family and friends, not everyone is so lucky.

That’s why the Salvation Army spent the day bringing holiday meals to seniors who are homebound.

The organization identified more than 450 low-income seniors who are homebound.

They got to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal of turkey, potatoes, green beans, dressing, cranberry sauce, a roll and piece of pie.

The Salvation Army also served federal inmates and their families.

The organization expected to serve 500 meals on Thanksgiving.
