Sand Mountain Man Arrested For Shooting Up His Roof

Fyffe, AL (WDEF) – A Sand Mountain man has been arrested after a pre-dawn standoff with officers.

It happened at a home on Country road 550 between Fyffe and Geraldine Friday morning around 4 AM.

DeKalb County deputies got a call about shots fired.

When they arrived the shots were still coming from the house.

They got neighbors to safety and took cover.

The shots end after about 30 minutes.

That’s when officers fired gas into the home.

After a brief standoff, they took 53-year old Gregory Mark Bagwell into custody and charged him with Reckless Endangerment.

WHNT reports that Bagwell was shooting through his own roof.

Officers from 10 different agencies helped with the standoff.
