Santa Train gives to children in need in Chattanooga
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Santa Train rolled through Chattanooga on Monday to make sure no one is forgotten this holiday season.
First responders lined up their vehicles at Chatt State and then drove to the homes of ten children in need.
Santa came along as they treated the kids with gifts.
This is made possible through the Forgotten Child Fund.
Lashundra Davis’ godchildren received gifts on a Santa Train stop. She says this means a lot and it was more than they ever imagined.
“It is great. At a time like this when you have three extra kids, I call them my three bonus babies, because I have three biological children. At a time like this, this really came in handy and this was a really big help,” Davis said.
Organizers say they have been doing this since 1965.
The Forgotten Child Fund also gives out jackets, gloves and scarves away to kids.
