School bus caught fire on US 27, driver noticed something wrong

HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) —  A school bus caught fire on US Highway 27 this morning.

The Chattanooga Fire Department (CFD) reported the driver noticed the bus was acting funny.

She then pulled over and called another bus to come pick up the kids on her bus.

Shortly after the kids were safely on the other bus, the first bus caught on fire.

CFD responded and extinguished the flames.

The bus was ultimately destroyed.

Firefighters reported the only thing left of it were the tires.

Thankfully, there were no injuries during the incident.
