Scottsboro Jr. High adds extra security over threatening messages

There was additional police presence today at Scottsboro Jr. High as a precaution over threatening messages.

The school system told parents they do not think there is an actual threat to students.

But police say they are investigating the case after messages were sent to several students Monday night on Snapchat.

But Scottsboro Police say they determined there was no immediate threat towards the school.

School officials say they can’t say anything more about the case at this time.
