Second suspect arrested in connection to March 1st shooting

CHATTANOOGA, Tennessee(WDEF) –  Police make a second arrest in connection to a shooting that left one person injured on March 1.

Kenneth Dixon Jr., 29, of Chattanooga was arrested Thursday morning and charged with:

  •     Attempted first degree murder
  •     Aggravated robbery
  •     Aggravated assault
  •     Criminal conspiracy
  •     Possession of a controlled substance
  •     Unlawful possession of a firearm

According to police, Dixon shot Marcus Forston in the leg then robbed Forston while he was on the ground. After Dixon reportedly took the money he jumped into getaway vehicle driven by Milton Evans Jr.

An eye-witness to the incident recognized Evans as the driver and reported it to police.

Evans was arrested later that day and charged with:

  •     Aggravated robbery
  •     Criminal conspiracy
  •     Unlawful possession of a firearm

A judge set Dixon’s bond at $210,000

His next court date is March 17.
