Secret Santa strikes again in Chattanooga
CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – The Salvation Army reports that the Secret Santa is back this year.
Over several years, secret donors have dropped large bills and even gold coins into kettles.
But last year, there weren’t any such donations.
However, over the holiday weekend, 52 one hundred dollar bills were dropped into a kettle at the K-Mart in Fort Oglethorpe.
“We have been busy with cold weather shelter, Angel Tree, serving Thanksgiving Meals and Red Kettles,” states Major Robert Lyle, Area Commander for The Salvation Army of Greater Chattanooga. “We are so grateful for this large donation! It couldn’t come at a better time!”
